Again we are here and we think it’s not the last one. We love this place and enjoyed it very much to be here. Thanks for all your hospitality. We had a lovely time in your lovely house. The view from your garden is beautiful and very peaceful; Greetings and best wishes.

Thank you for your wonderful hospitality, and for accommodation for us from Sunday to Sunday. We`ve had some much needed chill out time and enjoyed breakfast in the sun with a fantastic view of the valley . We`ve enjoyed swimming at Citta di Castello and Fighile, walking up to Cipoli. Beautiful Tuscany.

We are now totally chilled after a super fortnight at Casa Castagona. The setting lived up to all expectations. The apartment was a lovely, peaceful place to retreat to after 2 very hectic trips to Florence and Rome (by train). This was our first holiday to Tuscany – but it won’t be our last.

Your gift of holiday and fig tree is appreciated in a way words (of my vocabulary) cannot express adequately, Thank you.

A fabulous fortnight, thank you. An apartment that’s generous and accommodated all of our needs. We couldn’t have been made more welcome. We hope to return, until then…

Where do I start? I think first to thank both R & S for their care, understanding & hospitality. They have spent time and energy helping us to enjoy our holiday in this wonderful place. The countryside is remarkable, the food wonderful the wine excellent, the opera superb, and of course one splendid birthday cake. Thank you for a memorable beginning to our new life in retirement.

A wonderfully tranquil week, but somehow managed to fit in Arezzo Siena, Cortona, Citta di Castello, all beautiful in their own distinctive ways.

Thank you very much for your hospitality and all the personal touches, the flowers, the wine which made the house so welcoming. We enjoyed it very much to stay here. To have breakfast in the garden under the fig tree and the sweet smell of it. We slept very well in the lovely bedroom until the birds singing. We used the bicycles for trips to Monterchi and Citta di Castello. It was very romantic to sit in front of the fire. We saw a lot of beautiful old small towns, especially Anghiari! The neighbours we saw about 100 fireflies at night. We had a beautiful time and holidays.

Thank you for such a warm welcome with wonderful wine and everything we could need. Highlights have included easting out on the terrace with fantastic views over the secluded valley. We`ve had virtually every meal out here and watched the sunsets. Early morning walks have been a delight with so many paths to explore.

What can I say, Peaceful, blissful, relaxing. A sunny week. The terrace too inviting. Will surely be back for more again and again. Too tempting to tell people it was `awful` so they do not get a share of the paradise.

A wonderful stay – we felt at home immediately and spent far more time than we had planned just resting, relaxing and taking in the local sites. We swam in the pool at Celle – we were the only ones there and could easily have left thinking the whole village was closed. Assisi was well worth a visit as Citta di Castello. And locally – wonderful at Marcellos plus the grocers and butchers (wonderful sausages and great steak) plus great pizza from Pierro`s which we brought back and ate on the floor in front of the fire. It has been wonderful. More of a retreat than our normal holidays – very restorative. AS they say in Latin “pax et bonum” We certainly felt it, hope you do to.

A planned energetic foray around Tuscan towns and cities was dashed after we were seduced by the tranquillity of Casa Castrgna. We spent most of our first week basking on the terrace, enjoying the beautiful surroundings and character of the building. In the second week it proved a great base for visiting the beautiful Sienna, Florence and Rome! The charm of the place and the local people together with fantastic weather and food means will definitely be back! We were taken aback by the willingness to install ramps for the wheelchair which were great and ensured a comfortable stay. The hospitality, attention to detail and kindness were really appreciated and made the stay really special.
